Performance-linked incentives introduced for Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers
Leh, June 3: The Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers of Ladakh shall get performance linked incentive with effect from June 1st 2023. According to the Department of Social & Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh, the incentive shall be given under the Saksham Anganwadi-Mission Poshan 2 programme of the Ministry of Women & Child Development.
The AWW will receive Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) per month if she achieves the laid -out performance criteria and the AWH will receive Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty only) per month on achievement of the laid-out criteria. The criteria for Anganwadi Worker included measurement of length/height & weight of at least 80% of children in the 0-6 months age group every month. The second criteria to be met is that the AWW should have completed at least 60 percent of home visits to pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children up to two years of age as per the home visit scheduler. The certification of Village Sarpanch and signature of beneficiaries on Home Visit Calendar are mandatory in case of Home Visits.
For Anganwadi Helper (AWH), the performance criteria is opening the AWC for at least 21 days in the month and serving of Hot Cooked Meal to the beneficiaries. The incentives shall be paid to the AWW and AWH by the 15th of the month for their performance in the preceding month.

The achievement of the laid-out criteria will be determined on the basis of report generated on the Poshan Tracker application. The Poshan Tracker App is required to be updated by the Anganwadi Worker daily on the mobile phone that has been issued to all Anganwadi Workers in the UT of Ladakh. There are 1140 functional Aanganwadi Centres in Ladakh under the 13 ICDS Projects.
