LG Commends Green Efforts and Artistic Convergence at Plantation Drive and Forest Art Festival
VoL Desk, June 13: In an inspiring display of environmental consciousness and artistic collaboration, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra graced the closing ceremony of the “Plantation Drive & Forest Art Festival” held in Ladakh. The 10-day event, organized by LAHDC, Leh in partnership with the Wall Art Project from Japan and Matho villagers, concluded on Sunday.
During the ceremony, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor planted a Juniper sapling, symbolizing Ladakh’s commitment to expanding its green cover and preserving its natural heritage. Recognizing the incredible spirit and efforts of Ladakh in promoting environmental conservation, the Lt. Governor commended the region’s dedication to enhancing its green spaces.
Furthermore, the Lt. Governor praised the unique convergence of art and nature conservation manifested through this event. The collaboration with seasoned Japanese artists not only added a touch of international expertise but also provided invaluable learning opportunities for young Ladakhi children. The artistic growth of these talented individuals was nurtured, contributing to their holistic development.
