LG Ladakh Inaugurates Mega Plantation Drive in Liktsey
VoL Desk, May 17: In a significant move towards environmental conservation, a Mega Plantation Drive was organized by ‘Live-to-Love,’ ‘Young Drukpa Association,’ and the District Administration of Leh in Liktsey. The event witnessed the honorable Lieutenant Governor, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra, inaugurating the drive.
The plantation drive saw the participation of distinguished individuals, including Ven Rinpoches of Drukpa Sect, prominent political and religious leaders, as well as dedicated volunteers from Rong. The collective effort of these participants showcased their commitment to preserving the natural beauty of Ladakh.
During his address, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor emphasized the significance of tree plantation as a vital act of caring for the future. He highlighted how such initiatives play a crucial role in the overall development of any region. Recognizing the urgent need for environmental protection, the Lt.
