VoL Desk, May 13: LG Ladakh, Hon’ble Lt. Gov Brig (Dr) BD Mishra, chaired a meeting of the Departmental Secretaries to review the progress of various projects under the Departments of the UT Admin. The meeting aimed to ensure smooth functioning of the administration by creating a line of officials accountable for their responsibilities.

During the meeting, several matters were discussed, including finalizing the recruitment rules for gazetted posts, assessing the possibility of declaring the SSC Ladakh 2022 exams results at the earliest, and taking steps for effective waste collection, segregation, and disposal in Kargil. Additionally, strict measures will be enforced to prevent the disposal of liquid waste from industries and residences into water bodies.

The meeting also provided an update on the issues raised by the Hon’ble Union Minister for RD & Panchayati Raj Sh Giriraj Singh, during his visit to the border areas of Ladakh. The LG Ladakh emphasized the importance of addressing these issues promptly and efficiently to ensure the overall development of the region.
