LG Ladakh announces approval for Ladakhi citizens’ travel in IAF aircrafts
VoL Desk, May 31: In a significant development, LG Ladakh BD Mishra took to Twitter to share the good news that the request to resume travel of Ladakhi citizens in Indian Air Force aircrafts has been approved by the Government of India.
Expressing delight, the LG extended gratitude to the Ministry of Defence, India, for granting sanction to the UT Administration’s request, acknowledging the much-needed service it would provide to the people of Ladakh.
Divisional Commissioner, UT Ladakh also announced on tweeter that civilian travel in IAF flights to Thoise and Leh is set to resume for the residents of Ladakh. The Ministry of Defence, in response to the request made by the UT Administration, has conveyed the decision to reinstate air travel services on notified fares.

It is noteworthy that these services were temporarily discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic. The recommencement of civilian travel in IAF flights to Thoise and Leh brings a much-needed relief and renewed connectivity for the people of Ladakh.
