Higher Sec. Lecturers Mandated to Teach Four Classes Daily in Ladakh
VoL Desk, May 02: In a recent development, the Directorate of School Education in Ladakh has issued a circular making it mandatory for secondary school lecturers to conduct a minimum of four periods of routine classes each day.
The decision comes in response to an observed trend where lecturers in various Higher Secondary Schools of the School Education Department in Ladakh were often left with significant amounts of free time after delivering just a single lecture or period for the entire day.
To address this issue, all principals of Higher Secondary Schools in Ladakh have been instructed to ensure that lecturers are engaged effectively. The circular proposes that each lecturer, teaching classes 9th and 10th, should teach a minimum of four periods on a need basis throughout the day. Attending four classes daily will now be mandatory for every lecturer.
