AKTTA Commends CEO Kargil Development Authority for Tourism Development Initiatives
Kargil, May 22, 2023 – The executive members of the All Kargil Travel and Trade Association (AKTTA) held a meeting today with Mr. A.G Zargar (KAS), the CEO of Kargil Development Authority (KDA) and Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kargil, to express their gratitude for his support and efforts in sanctioning and inviting tenders for various tourism developmental works in Kargil.
During the meeting, the executive members, accompanied by CEO KDA, also visited Hundurman to assess the progress of ongoing developmental projects in the area. They were pleased to receive assurances from the CEO KDA regarding his unwavering support in ensuring timely completion of all the undertaken works.
One notable achievement highlighted by the Executive Members was the allocation of 7 Kanal 17 Marla land at Khumbuthang for the construction of a War Memorial Cum Hall of Fame. This significant step will honor the war heroes and contribute immensely to the promotion of war tourism in Kargil.

Furthermore, the executive members expressed their appreciation to CEO KDA for initiating the construction of a selfie point at Ando, near the Petrol Pump. This initiative is expected to enhance the overall tourist experience in the region.
The meeting also served as an opportunity for the executive members to present various proposals related to tourism development in the district of Kargil. Their valuable suggestions and insights were well-received, and CEO KDA expressed his willingness to consider and explore these proposals further.
