VoL Desk, April 09: Hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra attended an Iftar Party hosted by the Anjuman Imamia Leh at the Imam Bargah in Leh, which was attended by representatives of all religious communities, civil society organizations, and elected representatives.

The Hon’ble LG expressed his pleasure for being a part of the gathering in the holy month of Ramzan, stating that it delivers a message of brotherhood amongst the people of Ladakh.

During the event, the HLG emphasized the importance of inculcating habits based on the teachings of all religions which promote peace and brotherhood. He urged everyone to work towards passing on this gift to the next generation.

The HLG also highlighted the need for cooperation from the people of Ladakh in tackling the drug menace, conserving water and keeping the water bodies clean, and promoting Ladakh’s identity of ‘Pashmina.’

The Hon’ble LG also informed the people about his initiative regarding achieving a ‘Corruption & delay-free Ladakh’ and stated that a Board would be set up with representatives from all sections of society.

He appealed for everyone’s support in making Ladakh a corruption-free state. Overall, the event was a great success and showcased the unity and brotherhood amongst the people of Ladakh.
