VoL Desk, April 06: Hon’ble Lt. Gov Brig (Dr) BD Mishra chaired a meeting to discuss the construction of a Multipurpose Hall, Hostels, recreational space, and other entities as part of the University of Ladakh campus.

The Lt. Governor was apprised that the Multipurpose Hall has been designed as per Sports Authority of India (SAI) guidelines.

During the meeting, Lt. Governor BD Mishra inquired about the details regarding hostel capacity, mess facilities, and emphasized the need to consider the viability as per the number of students in each hostel and its functional boarding and lodging feasibility.

The Lt. Governor also suggested looking into how the upcoming facilities in colleges and universities can be utilized by the athletes/sportspersons of Ladakh for their training.

The meeting discussed the construction and planning of various entities in detail and called for ensuring that the facilities are designed and utilized optimally for the benefit of the students and athletes in Ladakh.
