IKMT Kargil Condemns Defamation of Dalai Lama in Viral Video
VoL Desk, April 15: The Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Kargil, the largest Muslim organization in Ladakh, has issued a statement strongly condemning a video clip that has gone viral, which defames the Honorable Dalai Lama.
The statement, which represents the views of the Muslims of Kargil, expressed solidarity with all Ladakhi people and emphasized that the Dalai Lama is not only a respected leader and personality of the world, but also a revered figure in Tibet, the entire Himalayan Region, including Leh, Kargil, and Baltistan. The people of India also have a special love and devotion for him.
The Dalai Lama has dedicated his life to humanity and world peace, for which he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The IKMT believes that negative propagation is a blatant attempt to tarnish the image of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which is tantamount to spitting at the sun and will not affect the position of his global image. The people of Kargil demand that the Government of India investigate and take legal action against those who spread such nonsense.

The tweet stated, “I condemn the act of tarnishing the image of His Holiness Dalai Lama. His Holiness isn’t only a religious leader but a messenger of peace, love, and humility. His Holiness teachings on humanity and oneness are still revered across religious lines throughout Ladakh and the globe.”
