Minor girl allegedly abducted and raped in Leh: FIR registered under POCSO Act
VoL Desk, March 31: A minor girl was allegedly abducted and raped in Leh on March 29, according to reports. The incident has shocked the local community, and police have registered a case under FIR No. 2/2023 U/S 5(M) and 6 POCSO Act at Women Police Station Leh.

It is very disheartening and a disappointment to everyone residing in Ladakh right now. We have seen another rape case in the last year also and again this, within few months. This has to stop and the culprit should be punished severely. The last time also the fake promises of the government and the police has shown the disappointment and lack of their commitment to their job and their people. Even after promising proper punishment to the culprit there is no news about the punishment even now.
I therefore plead the authorities and the officials of Ladakh to at least take an initiative in this case which you failed the last time(a disappointment to every Ladakhi).
