VoL Desk, March 31: The Hon’ble Lt Gov of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Admiral D.K. Joshi, and the Hon’ble Lt Gov of Ladakh, Brig (Dr) B.D. Mishra, recently met in New Delhi to discuss initiatives for promoting national integration through education, sports, tourism, and people-to-people ties.

During the meeting, the Hon’ble Lt Gov of Ladakh proposed reserving two seats each in Andaman & Nicobar Engineering, Medical & Law College for Ladakhi students, and the Hon’ble Lt Gov of Andaman and Nicobar concurred with the proposal. A formal comprehensive policy letter in the matter is under issue by the Hon’ble Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

In a tweet by the LG Andaman and Nicobar, he expressed his vision for strengthening cultural ties and promoting people-to-people exchanges between the Northern and Southern territories of India, i.e., New Andamans and Ladakh, respectively.
