VoL Desk, March 20: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra, has taken up the issue of a non-functional CT-Scan machine at the District Hospital in Kargil. During a briefing on the issue, the Lt. Governor expressed his concern about the delay in repairing and maintaining crucial medical equipment, which has caused inconvenience to patients.

The Lt. Governor directed the concerned authorities to expedite the procurement of a new CT-Scan machine for the hospital to avoid further inconvenience to patients. Additionally, he directed the Health Department to add an MRI machine to the hospital.

The Lt. Governor emphasized the need for timely repair and maintenance of medical equipment to ensure that patients receive timely medical care. He stated that such delays in repairing and maintaining crucial medical equipment should not be repeated.

The procurement of new medical equipment is expected to improve the medical infrastructure of Kargil and provide better medical facilities to the people of the region. The Lt. Governor has also instructed the concerned authorities to ensure that the new equipment is properly maintained and timely repaired in the future.
