VoL Desk, March 23: A farewell programme was held at Fish Farm Shey by the Fisheries Department in Leh today to bid farewell to Dr Mohammad Raza Abbasi, the Director of ASH and Fisheries UT Ladakh.

The event was attended by various district officers, including Dr Iftikhar and Dr Niyaz ul Hussain, EC Fisheries and Minority Affairs, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi, AO to Director Dr Stanzin Rabgyas, Technical Officer to Director Dr Dorjey, Assistant Director Fisheries Leh, Mohammad Ameen, and other officers and staff members of the Fisheries Department Leh.

During the event, the Director expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the fisheries officials in the rapid development of the Department after the formation of the UT. He urged them to maintain the pace of development and thanked everyone for organizing the programme.

EC Fisheries and Minority Affairs, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi, hailed the Director’s efforts in bringing up the department and acknowledged the dedication and commitment of the outgoing officer during his tenure. He also wished him a healthy and prosperous post-retirement life and hoped that he would continue to contribute to society.

Finally, the Assistant Director Fisheries, Mohmmad Ameen, thanked the Director for his contribution towards the holistic development of the Fisheries Department and his continuous support at every level. He wished him good health, prosperity, and success in his future endeavors.
