Dentists in Kargil request extension of services, LG assures policy draft for government agency postings

VoL Desk, March 20: In a recent meeting, a delegation of dentists working on honorarium in various medical centers and hospitals of Kargil called on the Honorable Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra. The dentists expressed their concern about the need for an extension of their services on the same posts.

The delegation requested the intervention of the Lieutenant Governor to ensure that every eligible dentist of Ladakh gets a chance to work in a government agency. They also highlighted the importance of their work in providing dental healthcare to the people of Ladakh.

The Honorable Lieutenant Governor assured the delegation that a policy would be drafted to ensure that every eligible dentist in Ladakh gets their due chance to work in a government agency. He also suggested that a competent dentist could make a respectable living by opening their own dental clinic.

This move is expected to have a positive impact on the dental healthcare system of Ladakh, as it will ensure that the dental needs of the people are met, and dentists are given the opportunity to serve the community.
