CEC Feroz Khan holds meeting with Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh and Student Council, GDC, Kargil
Kargil, March 11, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil held a meeting with Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh and Student Council of Government Degree College, Kargil in his office today.
During the discussions, the Student Council requested for early redressal of issues faced by the students regarding examinations and other academic issues. The Student Council also requested the University authorities to look into the matter of N.A. cases as it may affect their academic year.
The Student Council also requested that proper facilities should be made available during examinations in the respective centres.

It opined that University of Ladakh charges Rs. 350 per student for reappearing in an exam because students already pay these charges at the time of regular examinations and accordingly requested to reframe the regulations regarding shortage of students. It also requested for provision of dispensary/first aid centre in the College.
The Student Council further sought intervention of the CEC to make the current Registrar of University of Ladakh sit for a week in the University’s Administrative Office in Kargil every month until an Assistant Registrar is appointed and requested the Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh to kindly visit the Kargil Campus on rotational basis to sort out the issues of students.
The CEC requested the Vice Chancellor to look into the issues raised by the Student Council.
The Vice-Chancellor assured the CEC that all issues will be looked and resolved. The CEC assured the students that their issues with the college will be taken up with college authorities for early redressal.
