LAHDC Kargil seeks department-wise status of Divisional, District Cadre Posts
Kargil, Feb 13, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired the Executive Council meeting of LAHDC, Kargil, here at Conference Hall, Council Secretariat, Kargil.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Councilor, Sheep & Animal Husbandry, Aga Syed Mehdi Fazili, Executive Councilor, R&B & Mechanical, Mubarak Shah Naqvi, Executive Councilor, Tourism & Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor, Health & Agriculture, Mohsin Ali and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani.
At the outset, the CEC on behalf of LAHDC, Kargil welcomed the appointment of the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig. Dr. B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and hoped that the new LG will further push the policies and programs and the pace of developmental works in the UT.

He thanked outgoing LG of Ladakh, Radha Krishna Mathur and appreciated his services rendered in UT Ladakh during his tenure for the welfare of people.
A detailed discussion was held with regard to the present status of Divisional Cadre and District Cadre Posts in each department.
While verifying the statements put-forth by ADC Kargil, it was found that some departments haven’t furnished detailed information as sought and accordingly it was decided that the ADC will collect the detailed information from the Head of the Departments (HODs) with the order copy of posts sanctioned and the vacancy separately showing the promotion and direct recruitment quota.
The CEC directed the ADC to submit the same to Council at the earliest so that LAHDC Kargil will approach the UT Administration for the same.
The chair also decided that the ECs will take meeting with the HODs of their respective departments and collect the complete information immediately.
He also appreciated the works and steps taken by the Mechanical Division, Municipal Committee, Public Health Engineer Department and Power Development Department Kargil, Border Roads Organization and other departments associated with essential services post recent heavy snowfall in the district.
The meeting expressed satisfaction over snow clearance works by which all major roads of Block Headquarters have been reconnected with the District Headquarter in a record time.
The concerned departments were also appreciated for the restoration of drinking water and power supply to all the areas at proper time.
Further, it was decided that the Executive Councilors shall visit the Sub Divisional Headquarters to review the ground situation and furnish a detailed report to the CEC.
During the meeting, the passenger rush from Jammu and Srinagar towards Kargil was also discussed.
To cater the passenger rush and non-availability of civil aeroplane tickets and high price rise in air fare, it was decided that requisition will be given to UT Administration to airlift the passengers from Jammu and Srinagar through IL 76 after February 20, 2023.
Reacting over the request of aspirants who are going to appear in NHM examination scheduled on February 27, 2023 in Kargil, the CEC advised EC Health to consult with the CMO, Kargil with regard to setting up of examination centre at Jammu in case of non-availability of flights for aspirants, who are presently staying outside UT as per norms of the department. The CEC directed to submit the report to him to take further action in the matter.
It was also decided that the Council will approach concerned quarters for the establishment of examination centres for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and other national-level examinations in Kargil.
Further, it was decided that two sorties of Heli Service between Kargil to Zanskar and vice-versa to airlift stranded passengers at Padum and Kargil shall be taken with the UT Administration.
