AKSAD and MOA concludes seminar on “Real Values of Education”
Delhi, Dec. 16: Emphasising the importance of values in education, the All Kargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) in collaboration with the Movement of Awakening (MOA) concluded a seminar entitled “Real Value of Education” here at Jamia Ahlebait School, Shaheen Bagh, Delhi.
The keynote speaker at the seminar was Maulana Abass Ali Khan, a prominent Islamic Scholar and teaching faculty at Qom Seminary, Iran. Other speakers included Maulana Jawad Habibi and Research Scholar, Syed Mujtaba Athar. The speakers were welcomed with the traditional Khatak besides the banquets. Hundreds of students and other people, both males and females, participated in the event.
The speakers appraised the audience about the role and value of education in enriching the lives of human beings and bringing them close to the God. Maulana Abass Ali Khan, the keynote speaker assessed the critical examination of knowledge. He said that knowledge is a tool which we can use to do anything but it depends on the user of that tool how and where to use the tool.

If this tool is in the hands of good people, then surely it will benefit the mankind on the other this tool would harm or even destroy the whole mankind if it went to wrong user. He further maintained that the real goal of education is humanity so one must receive education for the humanity, of the humanity and to the humanity.
Syed Mujtaba Athar said that humans have needs and wants which are never ending and prolonging in nature. However, humans have created for a particular purpose to become humans from a mere body comprised of bones and flesh. The other things in the world are made for the humans only; so how it is justified that the humans sacrifice themselves to get a thing lower to themselves in value. While humans have some basic necessities for daily life, he emphasised to strive for needs and not for prolonged desires.
After giving a brief speech on the important of education, Maulana Jawad Habibi gave the vote of thanks to all the participants and speakers and praised the AKSAD and MOA for their efforts to organize such programs.
A Question-Answer session was also followed in which a number of participants raised various questions. The speakers appraised the audience with satisfactory answers.
