Oct. 21: The 20 bedded hospital at Gond Mangal Pore which was inaugurated on this day last year by Lieutenant Governor Ladakh is functional without basic necessities like electricity and water supply said the public representatives of the village.
The hospital which has no signboard reviews 30 to 40 patients on daily basis from the adjacent villages which is the most densely populated area in the whole district.
The electricity supply and solar electricity system both are placed at the building but without checking its functioning by the contractor, alleged the Naib-Sarpanch of the village.

Medical equipment for delivery or for treatment of newborn babies has also been installed but does not function due to the non-availability of Technical and paramedical staff, said a villager.
In the operation theatre, the contractor tried to apply tiles without removing the already applied color code which is not feasible and durable, said the villagers.
In a base made for a water tank, the contractor allegedly used old material despite refusal by the Naib-Tehsildar from the area.
Former Councillor from the area Sheikh Hussain Raisi said that the hospital was first announced by Former Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in 2011-12. The hospital was sanctioned in 2013 and the building construction was completed in 2019. Now, this becomes functional in 2021.
Sheikh Raisi further said that the villagers are ready to provide all kinds of support and if this Hospital is made properly functional it will benefit around 15000 people in the nearby villages.
