MANUU facilitates National Teacher Awardee Mr Mohd Jabir
Hyderabad, Oct. 07: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) facilitates its alumni and National Best Teacher Awardee from Kargil Mr. Mohd Jabir here today.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor congratulated Mr. Jabir on his achievement and appreciated his efforts of learning and proving his ability to achieve a National level honour.
Prof Razaullah Khan described it as a proud moment for MANUU that one of their distance learners has been honoured at the national level. The achievement of Mr Mohd Jabir proves that distance learning is in no way a hindrance to academic and career advancement, he added.

Mr Mohd Jabir said he was selected as TGT in the Department of School Education in the erstwhile J&K state soon after completing MA English from MANUU and also went on to do MPhil and PGCTE .
He also participated in a seminar organised by Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers of MANUU and his paper was subsequently published in The Voice of Teachers and Teacher Educators, a publication of the Ministry of Education.
He has also contributed a chapter in a book on English Language Teaching to be published shortly by MANUU. Mohd Jabir further added “Being a son of a poor labour, I preferred to join distance learning.” He now hopes to enroll in Ph.D.
An Alumnus of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Mr Jabir has been awarded ‘National Award for Teachers, 2022’ by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at a function held at New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers Day 2022.
The award was conferred to 46 exceptional teachers from across India. The winners are honoured with a certificate of merit, a cash reward and a silver medal. According to Prof. Mohammed Razaullah Khan, Director, DDE, Mohd Jabir passed MA English through distance mode in 2010 and is currently a Teacher of English and Environmental Studies in Government Middle School Karith, Kargil, Ladakh.
