VoL Desk, August 14: Flash floods triggered by heavy rains hit different villages of Drass in Ladakh’s  Kargil district on Sunday, reported sources.

Dozens of houses, shops  vehicles and crops were damaged in the floods that affected many villages viz Yulboo, Skutiyal, Lamochan, frove, Majidgam, and Gindiyal. Water and mud have also entered in many houses.

Meanwhile, Councillor, Syed Mohammad Shah, visited the affected villages and took stock of damages caused by the flash flood.

He also requested the concerned departments to take stock of the damge so that it can be compensated on time. Further, he requested the District administration to visit the affected village.
