Leh, 2nd July: Leh District Police has arrested and filed FIR against three accused for mercilessly beating a resident of Kargil district at Choglamsar, Leh on Juny 26, said a press release issues by the Leh Police.

On 26/6/22, Police Post Choglamsar received a compliant from reliable source that one person namely Mohammad Hussain S/O Ghulam Ali R/O Kargil has been beaten mercilessly by some unknown persons while he was washing his Car and clothes at Choglamsar Spang near Agling road Leh.

On this case FIR No 106/2022 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Post Choglamsar and started investigation.

In the course of investigation and as per the statement of the victim all the accused persons involved in the case has been identified and police search party has been dispatched to different area of the district and and a police party led by Insp. Stanzin Paljor ICPP Choglamsar was sent to Srinagar also.

After strenuous effort the police party succeeded in arresting all the accused persons involved in the case from Srinagar and brought back to Leh and are presently under police custody.

The accused persons are identified as, 1. Stanzin Nyantak S/O Sonam Angchuk R/O Rumchung, 2. Stanzin Spalbar S/O Stanzin Nurboo R/O Stara Zanskar, 3. Stanzin Sandup S/O Sonam Angdus R/O Skitmang.

During interrogation, the accused persons have confessed their involvement in committing these crime, further revealed that they were engaged in short verbal duel with the victim over trivial issues and start fighting with each other in which the victim got injured and later admitted himself at SNM Hospital Leh, read the press release.

In furtherance to the above case, another case, FIR No. 108/2022 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Leh on 26/6/2022 on the compliant of one Farat Ibrahim S/O Habibullah R/O Chiktan in which the complainant was also beaten by one of the above accused person at Leh Market who is also under police custody.

Further investigation is going on for involvement of these accused persons in any other criminal activities in the district.
It is pertinent to mentioned that general public is requested to inform police or Dial 112 without any hesitation for immediate action against such accused persons and to avoid such incident from getting a law and order issue .
