VoL Desk, July 16: Marking the celebration of 94th ICAR foundation Day, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kargil 1 organized a day- long programme along with live streaming from ICAR headquarters.

The chief guest of the occasion was Aga Syed Mehdi, Executive Councillor for Horticulture, Ladakh Autonomous Hill development Council, Kargil. A large number of farmers also participated in the programme.

The programme started with the welcome note from Nazir Hussain, Programme Assistant, KVK, Kargil followed by the live streaming of the programme which was inaugurated by Union Minister for Agriculture Narender Singh Tomar and interacted with the selected farmers virtually.

He congratulated the ICAR for documenting the 75000 farmer success stories on doubling farmers income.

After the live programme Dr Nasreen head incharge  KVK Kargil briefed the farmers about the importance of the occasion and interacted with the farmers which was followed by distribution of Tricoderma an organic pesticide cum fertilizer to the farmers.

At the end the Chief Guest and farmers visited the KVK demonstration farm where Dr. Rinchan briefed the guest and farmers about different farm technologies, techniques and activities.
