KARGIL, JULY 07, 2022:

Gargi College Delhi in collaboration with Government Model Degree College Zanskar today organized second lecture series under the theme Exchanging Ideas.

Dr Babita Gaur, Librarian Gargi College conducted two important sessions on the topic “Reading Habits – the Importance” and “Role of INFLIBNET in Higher Education”.

She spoke extensively on tips to improve reading habits and how to inculcate reading among children and students. She stated that “Library is the heart of Institution”.

Students raised many queries regarding the topic which were responded satisfactorily by the speaker. In the second session, Dr Gaur explained INFLIBNET portal of the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the digital resources available for free access for the faculties, students and interested people. Repositories like E Vidhwan, ShodhGanga, Swayam, E Pathshala and many other resources readily available.

She stressed that institutions should orient and make their students and faculties familiar to such e-facility freely made available by the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Nasir Shabani, Principal GMDC Zanskar thanked Prof. Promila Kumar Principal Gargi College, Dr Gaur, Dr Preeti Pant Moderator and Associate Professor Gargi College and Shailaja Modem Coordinator Vidya Vistar Scheme of Gargi College for collaborating such important sessions relevant to teachers and students. Around 70 participants including faculties and students of both colleges participated in the session.
