Dept. of Urdu, GDC Kargil organises multilingual Mushaira
VoL Desk, July 27: Department of Urdu Government Degree College Kargil organised a multi-lingual Mushaira (poetry session) in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, GDC, Kargil here today.
For this poetic symposium 27 poets of Ladakh were invited out of which 17 poets, including two student poets Kaneez Fatima Neezu, GDC Kargil and Mohd Younous Anees, student of Sanko campus of GDC Kargil presented their poetic works.
The program began with welcome note by Imtiyaz Ismayil Alaei, Assistant Professor, Urdu. The poetic session started with a Na’at by renowned young poet of Kargil Taqi Khan Nayab.
Other poets who participated in this mushaira were Kaneez Fatima Neezu, 6th Semester GDC Kargil, Mohammad Younous Anees Sankoo Campus GDC Kargil, Liaqat Ali Karkiti, Abdul Hadi Balti, Nissar Hussain Nissar, Haji Ali Baba, Maulana Feroze Rabbani, Taqi Khan Nayab, Mukhtar Zahid Karkiti, Ilyas Kargili, Jawad Jalib Ameeni, Ashraf Ali SagaSagar, Mohammad Shafi Sagar, Nasir ud Din Khafi, Akbar Ali Khan Shaheen, Raza Amjed Karkiti and Mohammad Ali Ashoor to name a few.
Dr Javed Iqbal Naqi incharge Principal appreciated Urdu Department for organising the poetic symposium. He further acknowledged the efforts of NSS unit and encouraged NSS for this collaboration.
Moreover, he referred to an online national level mushaira organised by the Department of Urdu in collaboration with the then IQAC Cell in 2019 where non local renowned poets participating in that very symposium had acknowledged the poetic acumen of Ladakhi poets particularly of Kargil.
Mohd Javad (Jawad Jalib Ameeni), Assistant Professor and HoD Urdu Department presented the vote of thanks. Further, he said that Urdu Department has been organising such kind of literary events from time to time to create literary taste among students.
This programme was moderated by the young poet of Kargil Liaqat Karkiti.

Seriously , the urdu department of GDC kargil is doing extraordinary efforts to maintain tue bounding of student with literature. Hats of to them.
