Protest erupts in Kargil demanding action against Nupur Sharma
VoL Desk, June 10: Protest erupted at Drass Subdivision of Kargil District here after the Friday prayers against suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma over her controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
Hundreds of people took out a march through Drass market after the Friday prayers demanding death to Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal.
Imam Juma, Ghosia Mosque, Qari Abdul Ghafoor while speaking to media said, “… we demand the administration to take strict action against those who have made wrong statements against the Prophet of Islam, Mohammad (SAW)”.

Former Imam Juma Ghosia Mosque, Haji Abdul Karim said that strict actions, even death sentence, must be served to the criminals so that no other person dares to speak against the Prophet Mohammad”.
On the other side, the Imam Juma, Kargil Sheikh Hamid Nasiri and President, Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi also condemned the controversial remarks of the suspended BJP spokesperson and BJP media cell chief Naveen Jindal.
“All the anti-Muslim issues surfacing in the country are because of the BJP which is fueling these problems. A recent case in the series is the controversial statement of Nupur Sharma against the beloved Prophet Mohammad (SAW)”, said Sheikh Hamid Nasiri.
“Mere suspending from the party membership is not enough. Action must be taken against her as per the law. The BJP must prove their loyalty to the constitution of the country, otherwise, they are a betrayal of the constitution”, Sheikh Nasiri added.
“The controversial statement of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal has disheartened the Muslims across the country while the Administration did not take action against them to date. I appeal to the Government to condemn and take strict action against them”, maintained Sheikh Nazir.
