MPS Baroo organizes awareness on drug abuse, illicit trafficking
KARGIL, JUNE 28: Mutahhary Public High School (MPS) Baroo conducted an awareness programme on the occasion of the international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in collaboration with Baqirya Health care and research center Kargil.
Chief patron Guardian Council and Board of Management (BOM), MPS Baroo graced the occasion as a chief guest while Dr. Oliyat Ali ENT Specialist from Baqirya Health Care and Research Center (BHC&RC) Kargil graced the occasion as guest of honor as well as resource person. Other guests on the occasion were Ibrahim Kalbi Vice President, BOM, MPS, and Board of Management member Mr. Mohd Abdullah.
The program was aimed to induce awareness among the students regarding the bad effects of using drugs and other narco products. The programme had the presence of more than 300 students.

The programme begins with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a welcome speech. While addressing the gathering, Dr. Oliyat Ali appreciates the MPS Baroo for the noble idea of organising international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking to sensitize the student.
He pointed toward the soaring cases of drugs in the Kargil District and stressed the need to sanitize the youth to curb the menace of drugs to make Kargil drugs free. Moreover, he also stressed that three things viz awareness, motivation, and willpower, are needed to fight drug abuse.
While addressing the gathering Chief patron of BOM MPS Baroo, Shake Mohmmad Hussain Lutfi stressed that apart from the menace of drugs and other smoking products there is a need to sensitize the kids to make to organize such kind of program regarding the side effects of junk foods.
He stressed the need to make the school campus free of junk food in the coming days. Moreover, he also threw light on the Islamic context regarding the permissibility of self-harming to our bodies by indulging in smoking/ chewing tobacco products.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Principal MPS Baroo Mr. Murtaza Khalili.
