VoL Desk, June 18: The Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur inaugurated 500 LPM PSA Oxygen Plant installed by NHPC Ltd. under CSR&SD initiative at Community Health Centre, Sankoo, Kargil.

On the occasion, Chairman/CEC LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Executive Counsellor Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner/CEO LADHC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Group General Manager, Chutak Power Station & Nimoo Bazgo Power Station, Bikram Singh, Councillor Sankoo Syed Ahmed Rizvi, and CMO Dr. Munwar Hussain Wazir were present.

With the objective to save life and in view of immense demand of medical oxygen during Covid pandemic and to strengthen the health care service two number of 500 LPM PSA Oxygen Plant is installed.

One oxygen plant is installed at Community Health Centre, Sankoo, Kargil and another at District Hospital, Kargil at a total Budget of Rs. 2.39 crores out of which Rs. 2.00 crores has been borne by NHPC Limited under its CSR&SD initiative and balance of Rs. 39.00 lakhs has been funded by District Administration, Kargil.
