KARGIL, JUNE 18, 2022: On the direction of Advisor to Governor, Umang Narula UT Ladakh, the Department of State Taxes UTGST Ladakh today organized a one-day GST awareness-cum-interaction program at Kargil under the able guidance of Amit Singh Chandel, Additional Commissioner UTGST Ladakh.

Various representatives of business/trade community of Kargil district attended the session. The presenters were Mohammad Yousuf, STO Kargil, Javeed Iqbal, Inspector and Stanzin Sharab, Inspector UTGST Ladakh.

They thoroughly discussed the various provisions and rules regarding the generation of E-Way Bill and Tax Invoicing under the GST Act 2017.

Virinder Pawar, Asst. Commissioner UTGST Ladakh while speaking during the session, advised the business community to follow the GST Law.

At the end of the session, the Additional Commissioner UTGST Ladakh addressed the attendees and advised them to comply with the provision of the GST Act 2017 and Rules made there under giving special emphasis on Tax Invoicing and E-way Bill generation through GST portal/E-Way Bill portal.

He also assured the business community that such awareness programs will be organized by the department in the future as well.
