Kargil, June 27: The Apex Body of People’s Movement for 6th Schedule for Ladakh, known as Apex Body Leh, held a meeting chaired by Thupstan Chhewang Former MP and President LBA.

In this meeting, Chairman Apex Body Thupstan Chhewang briefed his recent meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.

The Apex body in the meeting decided to stand firm and continue to struggle on the four-point demand. Regarding these objectives, Apex Body Leh is scheduled to meet Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) soon to further strengthen the movement for the interest of the people of Ladakh.

The members of the Apex Body proposed a Youth Wing of the Apex Body and to be constituted soon to expedite the movement based on the objectives of the Apex Body.

The meeting was attended by Former Minister Tsering Dorjey Lakrook, President Anjuman Imamia, Anjuman Moin-ul-Islam and Christian Community, former President Ladakh Gonpa Association, women representatives, Panchayat Coordination Committee Leh, representative of District Congress Committee Leh, Aam Aadmi Party Leh and Students Union.

It was learned from reliable sources that the Kargil Democratic Alliance also had convened a meeting details of which were withheld by the body.
