Leh May 20:  Student Council elections for the session 2022-23 was held at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College Leh today.

The filing of election nominations began on May 7 and ended on May14. The election was held for the post of President, Vice President, General Secretary and Cashier. A total of 7 students filed the nomination for various posts.

Voting process was carried out smoothly and peacefully under the supervision of the Election Committee headed by the Election Officer, Dr Shah Niwaz.

For the first time in the history of EJM College,  Presidential debate was held before the elections where in the candidates presented their manifestos and answered the questions from the audience. The counting of votes will take place tomorrow on May 21.
