Ganderbal, May 1, (CNS) : Accident took place at Zojila national highway in which an oil tanker driver died on spot here in Ganderbal district on Sunday morning.

Reports reaching CNS that an oil tanker (PB08CP-0866) on way towards Kargil skidded off the road near Zojila axis.

They said the oil tanker fell down into the deep gorge resulting in the death of the oil tanker driver identified as Muzafar Iqbal son of Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Kewal Budal village of Rajouri district.

Police sources added that a team recovered the body of the deceased from the gorge that was shifted to PHC Sonmarg for medical and legal formalities.

Police in this regard have registered a case.(CNS)
