LG Ladakh allegedly avoids Thupstan Chewang delegation
VoL Desk, April 11, 2022: President Ladakh Buddhist Association, Thupstan Chewang while addressing media at Leh alleged that the Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh deliberately avoided his delegation aimed to meet the LG to appraise on some genuine issues of Ladakh.
We were aiming for the Raj Nivas to appraise the Lieutenant Governor about the issues but we came to know that the Lieutenant Governor deliberately took a leave from Leh to avoid our delegation, said Thupstan Chewang.
If the LG is considering himself as the head of the State he has to face and listen to the issues of Ladakh. The people of Ladakh will not tolerate this humiliation, Thupstan added.
“He escaped because he is not able to resolve the issues of Ladakh. It has been three years since formation of UT but they are not able to build a single office, not able to provide a single job. They are exploiting the employees also who are expected to perform the work of UT, Council and District Administration. The Administration has failed to spend the funds and have returned.
“Now, we have appraised the issues to the Divisional Commissioner and have informed that the LG himself must personally listen to our concern. If they don’t address the issues by 30th of the month, I myself will sit on strike and will conduct mass agitation.
“Bureaucracy is at peak who are not here to address the public issues, but to create hurdle and problem to the public.
Thupstan Chewang further alleged that the Administration is imposing Hindu culture and RSS agenda in Ladakh that will not be tolerated.
