Leh, April 23: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson reviewed the progress on Geothermal projects and explore the feasibility of other potential sites in the district with the concerned stakeholders.

The Officials apprised CEC of the progress done in developing geothermal energy in the areas of Leh district. In an effort to harness clean energy, the meeting deliberated on various ways of exploring potential sites of geothermal energy and developing clean and renewable energy resources.

CEC Gyalson directed the concerned officials to submit a study report on the geophysical study and feasibility of potential sites in Leh.

The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel; Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Executive Councillor for industries, GhulamMehdi Ashoor; ADC, Leh, Sonam Chosjor; Superintendent Engineer (SE), PDD, Tsewang Paljor; Geothermal Consultant, Kunzes Dolma; Officials from ONGC and NHPC; and concerned officials.
