SEMoK discuss students’ issues with LG Ladakh
VoL Desk, March 03, 2022: Students Education Movement of Kargil (SEMoK) delegation headed by acting President, met with Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh and raised several issues pertaining to the student’s fraternity here today.
Representing the Student Education Movement of Kargil @Semokladakh, Ahmad Qadire apprised @lg_ladakh of the need for installation of a mobile network in Kaksar, Kargil, the LG office tweeted.
They also requested for intervention in construction of link road to Ajinoporo in Kaksar; issuance of ALC certificates and provision of bus service at the Higher Secondary School, Chanigond. Other requests pertaining to recruitment across Ladakh for various posts were made, the tweet maintained.

The issues raised include the time-bound establishment of Ladakh Public Service Commission, the establishment of Ladakh Services Recruitment Board, making Ladakh Resident Certificate (LRC) mandatory for all gazetted and contractual posts in all departments, more weightage to meritorious students in NEET seats reserved for Ladakh in different colleges of UT Jammu and Kashmir, making all graduates eligible to apply for the post of accounts assistant in various departments, resolving the issue of allotment of 8 marla land to the Girls Higher Secondary School, Kargil, maintained a press release issued by the SEMoK.
Moreover, the delegation further requested the LG to provide IL service for stranded students and passengers of Kargil, Ladakh at Jammu and Kashmir especially for Ladakh police aspirants.
Lieutenant Governor assured that he will resolve all the issues as soon as possible and will act on all the above-mentioned issues.
