Schools to reopen in Kargil from March 1; read for more details
VoL Desk, February 24, 2022: After a detailed review of the Covid-19 situation in the district by DDMA, Kargil, Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC, Kargil has ordered the opening of all government and private schools /Institutions in the district, announced an order issued today.
All government and private schools /Institutions in the district shall re-open after winter vacation w.e.f. 01.03.2022 for Class 6th to 12th and rest of the schools up to 5th Class level shall open w.e.f. 11.03.2022.
The Head of the institution and teaching staff shall report at their respective Schools/ Institutions 03 days before the date of re-opening of schools for making requisite arrangements in coordination with the VEC members and shall ensure that the COVID related SOPs are being followed by the students at their home as well as at Schools. No student having symptoms of COVID-19 shall be allowed at the school.

The head of the institution shall ensure that all Covid-19 related guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health, Government of India are strictly followed. Wearing of mask, availability of soap and water for washing hands and Sanitizer at the main gate of the schools, continuous maintenance and monitoring of cleanliness and hygienic conditions in and around the schools, frequent cleaning and sanitization of commonly touched surface, and availability of drinking water facility shall be ensured. Bringing of water bottles by the students shall be encouraged.
