KARGIL, FEBRUARY 22, 2022: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve who is also the Chairman of the School Health Program (SHP) today chaired a meeting and directed to embark on the program from March 01, 2022 at the district level. 

The meeting was attended by members of the School Health Program including Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, Nodal Officer, SHP, Dr Abass Jalil, Chief Education Officer and Principal DIET. 

As per the program, nominated teachers from all the blocks will be trained on various health issues. The teachers will further train other teachers in their respective blocks.

The teachers will accordingly teach the children at school in weekly orientation regarding drugs abuse, healthy diet, and personal hygiene and limiting the use of mobile phones.

When the children get awareness in schools, they function as messengers to their families and communities to spread the message of these health issues.
