KARGIL, FEBRUARY 16, 2022: The All Kargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) conducted a webinar on the auspicious birth anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali (A.S) via Google meet on 15 February 2022.

The program held in the form of poetic symposia in which prominent poets of Ladakh took part and gave homage to Imam Ali (A.S). The poets were Akhoon Asgar Basharat, Sajjad Ali Shujat, Khumar Tumaily, Zakir Karbalie, Nasir Ud Din Khafi and Ashraf Ali Sagar.

Sheikh Ansar Hussain, a well known clerics from Noorbakshia community of Ladakh region presided as the Chief Guest on the occasion.

The poets appraised the audience about the personality, characters, and moral lessons from the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Ali (A.S) in poetic form, using Urdu and Balti language.

The Chief Guest Sheikh Ansar Hussain highlighted the character of Imam Ali (A.S) from the teachings of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (R.A). He also appraised the audience about the role of Hazrat Hamadani (R.A) in spreading Islam in Ladakh, Kashmir and Baltistan.

At last President AKSAD Mohammad Ismail delivered vote of thanks to all the participants, poets and Chief Guest, with a hope of participation of the poets whenever the AKSAD approaches to them.
