Republic Day: AKSAD conducts webinar on the theme Values of Indian Constitution

Delhi, January 26, 2022: The All Kargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) today conducted an online talk on the theme, values of the Indian Constitution via Google meet on the eve of 73rd Republic Day.

The speaker on the occasion was Dr Raj Kumar, Professor of Political Science at Dyal Singh College, DU. Besides, he is an expert on the Indian Constitution.

Dr Raj Kumar apprised the audience with an informative lecture on the theme, values of the Indian Constitution. He said that the compilation of the Indian Constitution made the people of the country perfect human beings and also gave us hope for moving forward as free citizens of India.

He further said that the Constitution acts as a safeguard to ensure equality before the law. It protects the minorities so that they feel the sense of being equal to the people of India who have previously faced inequalities on the basis of caste, gender, and religion.

Praising the Indian Constitution, Dr Raj Kumar said that it was because of the Constitution of India that transformed the country from an undemocratic to a democratic country after the independence. The Constitution become a blueprint of a nation making in a circumstance when the society was multicultural, multi-religious, multi-ethnic and multi caste. He ended his lecture with the hope that in the days to come, the Indian Constitution will not only be the largest but also a modern Constitution in the world.

His Lecture was followed by a Question-Answer session in which a number of participants raised questions regarding the Constitution in the present scenario. Dr Raj Kumar apprised the audience with satisfactory answers.

At last President AKSAD Mohammad Ismail gave the vote of thanks to all the participants and Dr Raj Kumar. Dr Raj Kumar praised AKSAD for conducting the talk on such a crucial topic. He further assured to be available if AKSAD approaches.
