KARGIL, DECEMBER 09, 2021: A village-level drawing competition on the theme of Water Conservation held at Govt. Model Middle School Pashkum by Nehru Yuva Kendra Kargil in collaboration with School Management Committee Govt. Model Middle School Pashum under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Around, 36 students above 9th Grade from different Mohallahas of Pashkum participated in the competition.

Renowned artist of Ladakh Mr. Liyaqat Ali Shahriyar and Nodal officer of Govt. Model Middle School Pashkum Mr. Mustafa Kamal were presided as Judges of the event.

A short skit “Glass Gang Choo” on the theme of water conservation was also presented at the end of the competition by Zulfiqar and the team. The judges also shared their ideas about water conservation.

In the competition Asif Ali S/o Mohd Ibrahim R/o Grong bagged 1st position, Zarina Banoo D/o Mohd Hassan R/o Tharumsa stood 2nd and Kaneez Fatima D/o Nissar Hussain got 3rd position.

It is pertinent to mention here that Nodal officer MMS Pashkum assures the participants that they will provide a platform of various co and extracurricular activities to students of Pashkum in future as well to showcase the hidden talents of the students. He further says that team MMS Pashkum is committed to provide lifelong learning and believe in learning beyond class. At last SMC extends gratitude for NYK Kargil for organizing the event and wished for such support in future as well.
