Instructs SDMs to activate surveillance teams, directs to ensure strict management at Minamarg, Khangral screening points.

KARGIL, DECEMBER 22, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting regarding Covid-19 with all Sub Divisional Magistrates, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent, Block Medical Officers and Nodal Officers.

In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner sought details about the total number of Covid-19 cases, number of local and non-local patients and also data of samplings done so far.

DC Santosh instructed all the SDMs to activate surveillance teams and also directed District Surveillance Officer to monitor and provide the status of surveillance on daily basis.

In the meeting, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars (as magistrate) were asked to address the issues and problems of surveillance team regarding sampling besides other measures.

He further strictly instructed Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kargil to maintain and manage the interiors of the hospital and to keep updating about the status.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the MS to ensure attendance and punctuality of doctors and other health care workers on duty in order to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the district. 

DC Santosh directed to collect 70-80 samples daily from each block and also directed the SDMs to ensure strict management at Minamarg and Khangral and other screening points in the district.

The DC also advised CMO Kargil to install sampling point and provide teams at Helipad and Kargil Airport for samplings of passengers travelling through Hans Pawan and AN32 courier service.

Regarding implementation of digital health IDs, he directed all the BMOs to ensure 100% generation of health IDs by 15th January 2022.

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the general public to follow Covid appropriate behaviour, avoid public gatherings and unnecessary travel.
