DELHI, DECEMBER 10, 2021: A delegation of Congress councillors headed by leader of opposition, LAHDC, Leh Tsering Namgyal and Congress State Women President Stanzin Dolker met with Member Parliament and Senior AICC Member Sh Rahul Gandhi.

Other leaders accompanied Rahul Gandhi in the meeting were AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal (MP) and AICC Incharge Ladakh Rajini Patil (MP).

The Ladakhi delegation briefed Rahul Gandhi on the prevailing socio – political situation in Ladakh post UT formation.

The leaders strongly raised the issue of lack of Legislative Powers for UT Ladakh, need for a constitutional safeguard on the lines of 6th schedule, unemployment crises amongst other issues.

Rahul Gandhi assured full cooperation and support for the people of Ladakh in terms of protecting their culture, identity, land, jobs, economy and environment.

Rahul Gandhi appealed the youths of Ladakh to work hard for development and protection of Ladakh as well as the need to have long terms visions which will ultimately benefit the future generations of Ladakh.
