KARGIL, NOVEMBER 13, 2021: Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) held a joint meeting here at Zojila Residency in Kargil to discuss future course of action for both the districts of Leh and Kargil.

The meeting was attended by veteran leader from Leh and former Member of Parliament Thupstan Chewang, veteran leader and Co-Chairman KDA Asgar Ali Karbalai, Sheikh Bashir from IKMT, Sajjad Hussain Kargili from AJUIAK, Congress District President Nasir Hussain Munshi, District President NC Haji Hanifa Jan, and other religious organizations and political parties.

In a press conference after the meeting, the leaders unanimously called for Ladakh Bandh protest shutdown on 6 December for key demands of Ladakh.

The leaders further announced that the two bodies have decided to intensify the protest movement in March where mass protests will be held in both Leh and Kargil districts. The leaders from both the districts will join in each other’s mass protest rallies.

The leaders further vowed to take the movement to even block and village level.
