KARGIL, OCTOBER 12, 2021: Primary schools in Kargil are likely to open by this Monday that is October 18, 2021, announced Deputy Commissioner Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve.

The DC Kargil expressed the views while speaking to the media after an awareness event for school children at NHPC office Chutuk.

DC Santosh further informed that his office will release the order for the opening of schools in a couple of days to open the schools by October 18, 2021.

Speaking about the alleged extra charge of fare by public vehicles, the DC further informed that his office in a meeting with transport organizations has already ordered to ply the public vehicles with full capacity and normal fare. He said that those who violate the order and charge extra fare will face action as per law.

He further said that due to hike in petrol and diesel price the fare for public transport also needs to be revised. The public while enquired by the police check-post didn’t complain about the extra charge of fare, the DC added. If any passenger complains of any such violation, the DC assured to take action against the defaulter.
