KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 11, 2021: Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi has been reelected as President Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil here today, announced the election authorities.

The election for the President and Vice President post held here at the Islamia School Kargil building. Sheikh Mehdi Mohammadi with 254 votes defeated his rival Sheikh Liyaqat Ali Akbari who got 38 votes only.

In contest for vice president post Sheikh Ghulam Ali with 200 votes defeated Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Mohammadi who secured 89 votes.

After declaration of the results Sheikh Nazir thanked the people, election authority and the voters for peacefully and smoothly conducting the election. A press conference is also expected to be addressed by the election authorities and the newly elected president.
