Kargil, September 27, 2021: Commissioner/ Secretary, School Education Department, UT Ladakh Ajeet Kumar Sahu) IAS, in a fresh order announced affiliation of Government schools in Lasakh to affiliate with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The fresh circular No: 01-SED of 2021,
Dated: 27 /09/2021 maintained that the Union Territory Administration in consultation with the LAHDCs has decided to get all the Government Schools in the Union territory of Ladakh affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

“As per the procedure conveyed by the CBSE, each School has to individually apply for affiliation through School Affiliation Re-engineered Automation System (SARAS), the details of which are available on the link
http://saras.cbse.gov.in/SARAS/Home/CatRedirection.

“Accordingly, the Heads of Institutions (Hols), of all the Government High and
Higher Secondary Schools and those Private Schools, which are interested in getting CBSE affiliation, shall apply on the said portal as per the procedure therein.

“The Director School Education, Ladakh shall constitute a technical cell at the
Directorate level to handhold the Hols to apply on for affiliation through the online system. Similar cells shall be constituted at the District level by the concerned Chief Education Officers.

“Furthermore, the Director School Education shall furnish a list of the Hols of all the Government Schools to be affiliated, and those Private Schools which are seeking CBSE affiliation, along with their contact details for conducting a sensitisation/ training programme for using the system.
