KARGIL, AUGUST 28, 2021: As Ladakh has gone on complete strike against scheduled “selective” meeting of PSC and MoS Home with different stakeholders separately, the MoS Niti Anand Rai has called the Apex Body and KDA for a meeting today at Leh, said reliable sources.

The leaders of KDA including Co-Chairman KDA Asgar Ali Karbalai, Co-Chairman KDA Qambar Ali Akhone, District President National Conference Haji Hanifa Jan, District President INC Nasir Hussain Munshi, ISK Representative Sajjad Hussain Kargili, IKMT Representative Mohd Hassan Lal along with others have moved towards Leh for meeting, said sources.

Pertinent to mention that Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) yesterday appealed for complete shutdown on Saturday against the Centre government’s call to separate stakeholders for meeting. The KDA also appealed all stakeholders and individuals to boycott the meeting with Parliamentary Standing Committee in Leh.

Co-Chairman KDA Asgar Karbalai addressing a press conference after the emergency meeting said that the Parliamentary Standing Committee and MoS Home Niti Anand Rai has invited different stakeholders separately for a meeting on Saturday including religious, student, prominent leaders, panchayat members, political leaders and social organizations from Leh and Kargil while neglecting the Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA). This shows that they are not sincere towards the issues of Ladakh.
