Baseej Zaraat wa Baghbani Kargil conduct training session on Mushroom cultivation
KARGIL, JULY 13, 2021: A two days long practical training upon Mashroom cultivation begins at Baseej Zaraat wa Baghbani (BZB) Reaserch Centre, at Mutahhary Complex Kurbathang today.
The second day training programme shall be organised by FEUMIC and Bacheypa Nursery in collaboration with GB Panth and BZB at Kanoor and Minjee respectively on 14-07-2021.
The two days long programme is being jointly organised by Baseej Zaraat wa Baghbani Kargil and GB Panth Himaliyen Envirnoment Ladakh.
More than 30 women folk comprising of agriculture graduates and 20 Youths of the same stream are participating in the training session.
Dr Akhon Mehdi Principal /Head Scientist KVK Kargil who is also the Chairman Technical of BZB was the Cheif guest on the occasion, while Kacho Ahmad Khan CEO/ Director of KREDA was the Guest of honour.
Haji Mohd Hussain General Secretary was representing Imam Khomeni Memorial Trust. Among others Sheik Mohammad Amin, Principal MPS High Department were also present in the training programme.
Dr Lalit, Dr Chhorol and team were as resource persons who are affiliated with GB Panth Himaliyen Environment Ladakh.
Dr Mehdi Akhon in his speech urged the trainers to search alternative substitute to the straw use to cultivate Mashroom, as straw can not be affordable to farmers due to shortage of cattle feeding. He Praised the team work of BZB for launching of scientific farming successfully in the district despite financial constrains.
Kach Ahmad Khan CEO/Director KREDA stressed upon Ladakh people to focus on Land based economy which have undertaken by BZB with great zeal and enthusiasm, is praiseworthy. He further spoke that KREDA is committed to enhaunce the existing solar power of 10 kv capacity into 25kv, with the purpose to pump out irrigation water at Mutahhary Campus for irrigation of under projection permaculture vision of BZB. This will benefit student community and progressive farmers as well.
Dr Lalit of GB Panth promised that all such trainings under their purview shall be available when and where required.
