Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, the Iranian nation and the president – elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayattulah Syed Ebrahim Raeisi on securing an overwhelming majority in the 13th general presidential election held on Friday.

Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil in a press release expressed hope that ties between Iran and India would further broaden under Ayattulah Syed Raeisi, with increased friendship and good neighborly ties that the two nations cherish from centuries.

“We foresee that the two nations would keep moving toward closer constructive cooperation on issues of bilateral
and international significance”, read the press release.
