LEH, MAY 08, 2021: Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur reviewed the COVID-19 scenario in Ladakh in a meeting here at UT Secretariat Leh today, tweeted the LG Office.

The LG urged the departments to be prepared with infrastructure, medicine and other facilities needed to mitigate the Covid threat in Ladakh. He further urged the concerned officers to augment the equipments and medicines as required and feasible.

The LG instructed Director Health to expedite works on the three oxygen plants in Drass, Padum and Diskit to make them functional at the earliest.

LG Mathur directed the health department to ensure that the vulnerable populace in 18 years and above category to be prioritized for COVID Vaccination and to also ensure zero wastage of vaccines.

While appreciating the efforts of the doctors and pramedical staffs the LG urged the doctors to stay updated with new COVID guidelines and protocols.
